Biography
Luka Jozic is a Serbian baritone from Belgrade, recognized for his powerful stage presence, musical intelligence, and natural dramatic instinct. He completed his bachelor’s and master’s studies in opera singing at the Faculty of Music, University of Belgrade, and continued his professional training at the “Borislav Popović” Opera Studio of the National Theatre in Belgrade.
His repertoire is particularly connected to Mozart, with significant roles including Don Giovanni, Count Almaviva, Papageno, and Guglielmo. He has also performed leading and prominent roles in works by Rossini, Bizet, Verdi, Puccini, Menotti, Pergolesi, Gotovac, and Strauss, including Dandini, Escamillo, Paolo, Miller Sima, and Falke.
Jozic has performed at the National Theatre in Belgrade, the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad, Opera and Theatre Madlenianum, the Operosa Opera Festival, BELEF, Rossi Fest, Bell’Opera, the Varna State Opera, and the Music Centre of Montenegro. For his expressiveness, discipline, and refined sense of character, he received the “Miroslav Čangalović” Award for the most promising young artist of the Serbian National Theatre, as well as the Annual Award for exceptional expressiveness in opera.
